Cookie Policy
1. What This Document Covers
This page describes which cookies and similar technologies Carnallitoid.info uses, why they are needed, and how you can manage your choices. The document supplements our Privacy Policy: that policy covers information in general; this one focuses on browser storage technologies.
The core principle is simple: necessary cookies always run because the site cannot remember your settings choice without them. Analytics and marketing technologies are not activated until you give consent.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser on your computer, tablet, or phone. They store technical information—for example, a flag that the settings panel was already shown, or an anonymized identifier for aggregated visit statistics.
Cookies may be session-based or persistent. Session cookies are removed when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain on the device until they expire or you delete them. Alongside cookies, sites use similar browser mechanisms such as local storage; we use it to remember the categories you selected.
Cookies do not run programs, read files on your device, or transfer malicious code. They are data records accessible to the site that set them.
3. Categories We Use
The site uses three cookie categories. Each appears as a separate toggle in the settings panel.
- Necessary. Support basic page operation, connection security, and storage of your settings choice. They cannot be disabled in the panel: without them the site cannot remember even a refusal of other categories.
- Analytics. Help us understand which materials are read, which pages are opened rarely, and where visitors leave the site. Data is used in aggregated form without identifying a specific person.
- Marketing. Used to measure advertising campaign effectiveness for traffic that reaches the site and to avoid showing ads to people who already submitted an inquiry. This category is off by default.
4. Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies include records required for pages to work correctly: interface state information, security-related service markers, and the saved result of your settings panel choice. We set them based on legitimate interest because they are not used for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Your selected categories are saved in browser local storage under the key “sunprep-home-cookie-settings”. This record prevents the settings panel from appearing on every visit and ensures your decision is honored across all site pages.
If you completely block data storage in the browser, the site remains readable, but you will need to confirm settings again on each visit.
5. Analytics Cookies
Analytics technologies are connected only after you consent to this category. They collect summary metrics: visit counts, traffic sources, popularity of individual materials, average time on page, and device type.
We use this data to understand which topics are useful to readers and decide what to improve—for example, which materials to expand and which sections are read less often.
If you decline analytics, the corresponding scripts do not run and statistics for your visit are not collected.
6. Marketing Cookies
Marketing technologies also activate only with your consent. They show whether a visit came from an advertisement and help assess whether the ad was relevant. For us, this is a way to avoid spending budget on impressions that are not useful.
We do not use these technologies to build private-life profiles and we do not sell collected data. If you decline this category, you may still see ads elsewhere on the internet, but they may be less relevant and we cannot measure their effectiveness.
For advertising and analytics tools we pass a signal about your consent: categories stay off until you enable them and turn on immediately after you save your choice.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some technologies are set not by us but by services we use: web analytics platforms, advertising systems, and the mapping service used to display our address. Those records follow the rules of those services, and we do not control their contents.
We connect third-party services in minimal scope and only for the purposes described in this document. We recommend reviewing privacy policies of the platforms involved if you need details about how they operate.
8. Managing Your Choice on Our Site
On your first visit, a settings panel opens with three categories and three actions: accept all, accept selected, or keep necessary cookies only.
The decision is not final. Every page includes a persistent cookie settings button that opens and closes the same panel, where you can enable or disable categories at any time. A new choice applies immediately and replaces the previous one.
The panel works with the keyboard and closes with the Escape key, so you can manage settings without a mouse.
9. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Regardless of settings on the site, you can manage cookies through your browser. Every modern browser includes a privacy and site-data section where you can delete saved files, block them entirely, or allow them only for specific sites.
The exact path depends on the browser and version, so the most reliable approach is to open built-in help and search for the cookies section. Also note private browsing mode: site data is removed after the window is closed.
If you delete saved files, your category choice on our site will reset and the settings panel will appear again.
10. What Changes If You Disable Cookies
Site materials, navigation, the contact form, and legal documents remain available with any choice: without optional categories the site works the same way. Declining analytics and marketing affects us—we receive less data about what to improve.
A full browser-level block on data storage means the settings panel will appear on every visit because there is nowhere to save your decision.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this document when the set of technologies we use changes or when legal requirements change. The current version is always on this page, and the last update date is shown at the top.
If changes are material, we will highlight them on this page and, if needed, ask for your consent to optional categories again.
